MANAGING THE RISK OF VIOLENCE

MANAGING THE RISK OF VIOLENCE

Empoyees can be sujected to violence at work either through abuse, threat or physical assault. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (as amended) places an obligation on employers to ensure that a suitable and sufficient assessment of risk is carried out for those who may be subject to risk whilst at work or in the course of their employment. Violence often goes unreported by those who suffer that violence.

JRL Solutions Ltd provides a half day course for managers and those who will carry out risk assessments for violence.

The syllabus includes:-

  • what is violence?
  • who may experience violence?
  • when and where may violence be experienced?
  • how to identify if violence is an issue
  • evaluation of risk
  • effective control of violence
