JRL Solutions Ltd is aware that some countries have their own specific health and safety legislation and standards. The member countries of the United Nations have often adopted the Conventions and Recommendations of the International Labour Organisation, which is the tripartite UN agency bringing governments, employers and workers together to improve the working conditions of workers worldwide. When countries adopt a Convention, and it is ratified by their own legislature, it creates a specific binding obligation on itself to provide appropriate legislation or address the issue by some other appropriate means.

Recommendations, often elaborating on conventions, offer guidelines to member states, who should submit the texts for their legislature to take action on their adoption.
