COMPETENCE

Chartered membership of IOSH (Institution of Safety and Health) represents a tangible and readily understood standard of excellence in occupational safety and health. The title "Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner" signifies those at the pinnacle of their profession. It is only awarded to those who have fully satisfied the stringent requirements of IOSH, verified by rigorous, evidence-based assessment procedures.

They only keep the title through a programme of Continuing Professional Development, in which they must demonstrate their ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards through knowledge, understanding and the extension of their skills.
